HYPERTUFA TROUGH PLANTER- Part 1… Construction
This will be a delightfully messy, hands-on outdoor hypertufa trough-making workshop. Hypertufa is a lightweight porous concrete mixture made from Portland cement, peat, and perlite. Your container will be perfect for plants that enjoy well-drained conditions such as sedums, hens n chicks and other succulents. In this workshop you’ll make your planter. Once it’s dried, you can plant it up yourself or plan to come back for Part 2.
HYPERTUFA TROUGH PLANTER- Part 2… Planted
Return to Sackett Farm with your empty, dry hypertufa planter and leave with it full of luscious plants and fertile dirt. You’ll have fun choosing from a variety of beautiful plants to put into this container garden made by your own hands!
